Mwaramutse from Burundi

Hey guys! just wanted to give you a quick update in case you hadn't gotten a chance to read my own blog.

I've been in Burundi for 2 1/2 weeks, I think...haha. Something like that. It's been great and the Lord is really teaching me alot. Alot of things that I didn't expect Him to, as He normally does.

I spent the first week with one family, that lives in the compound with 47 orphans. So I got to spend alot of time with those kids, and helping a team from Canada with the holiday club they put on for the kids.

The past week and a half has been with the family I was supposed to stay with. And last week I worked in the clinic, in the lab. Mostly observing, since I really don't know how to do anything and most of their patients aren't the best for learning on. I'll spend the next week in the clinic too, hopefully getting to learn some more stuff. And then on the 12th the parents of the family I'm staying with are going to china to minister to victims of the earthquake. So I'll most likely be moving in with another girl who's here from Canada for the month, and spending that last week and a half with the kids again.

So that is the very brief version of my past 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. God has been an incredible provider and is stretching me and growing me a ton. I've battled through alot of homesickness and dealing with new culture but Jesus is so good and I know He had divine purpose for me being here even if that looks different than I thought it would.

Love you guys, and can't wait to see you all in about 3 weeks :)
