Out of the Norm.

In the environment we've been raised up in, the atmosphere we breath in everyday, and even the traditions we've been taught, it's hard to sit and converse with God. Not just to read through a few chapters in the New Testament, pray for the fam, and just act like there's growth in Him. That's the temptation of a normal quiet time.
Trying to get over the frustration of such a concept I make this point... there is no normality in any relation to God. My God is the God. By definition, there is nothing normal about His revelation in the lives of His believers. Our world calls for routine, normality, and uniform, but God calls us to swim against the tide. Seeking the Kingdom, rather than seeking the pleasures and desires of the world. Finding true joy is the worship we are graciously offered by our King. It is but a stranger to the world and a candle in the cave, but our God is unwavering and firm in His promises. We are required to change because He is unchanging.

Just sharing a challenge I received recently.

Holler.
